April

- Time flies my friends. Been almost two whole years since I updated this page for some reason.

- However, time is nigh...  I'm back for attack, and this time it's time to tell you a bit about my forthcoming album with my first solo project PERRACIDE. I signed a deal with the Danish label EMANZIPATION PRODUCTIONS late last summer. So now the first digital single "Horripilation" is out already and available on all digital platforms. In a few weeks time single nr 2 will be unleashed, and then the album "Underdog" will be released during the summer, more info to follow soon on it all.

- During these last two years I have also joined the Death Metal band DARKENED on a fulltime basis, and we just recorded the debut single with me behind the kit,a and that EP will be released later in the years through EDGED CIRCLE PRODUCTIONS. My first appearance with the guys was in the video "Swallowed by the world" that was released a couple of months ago, follow this link to check it out:

- I have also recorded drums for the debut URSTEN album "Alla kvävs" that is out now through DALAI DESTROY RDS. Black Metal done and performed the Old school way.

- Yes, you're right, I did record and released a few singles also with my good friend Pierre Törnkvist and his band DEVIL'S FORCE. Those singles are available and can be found on Spotify among other platforms .

- The SAINTS & SINNERS project also seems to be moving on slowly, I have recorded drums for a third cover song that I hope will see the light of day before the end of 2023.

- I probably did a few more things that I can't remember right now, but the most important thing for me is to move on and playing drums

May

- A few weeks ago the drum recordings for the project that I mentioned earlier was recorded at StudioCave, Fagersta, Sweden. This project goes under the monicker ANGELBLAST and these two tracks that I did for them will be released later in 2021 through the Norwegian cult label EDGED CIRCLE PRODUCTIONS.

- The French label SEASON OF MIST RECORDS just released a fucking cool and very limited 7" shaped picture disc EP (350 copies in total) with the DESTROYER 666 tracks "Traitor" and "Live & Burn", both tracks taken from the "Wildfire" album that they released five years ago,when I was playing drums for them.
 

- Today I have been able to make a proper updated on the following sections: News / Biography / Releases / Media / Merchandise.


March

- At times it just takes forever to update you all on what's going on here, it's been almost a year now since we last spoke, my apologizes for that.
A lot of stuff has happened. First of all, I have been going through a succesful kidney transplantation, so no more dialysis. I feel better and stronger in general, and I just can't wait to see what's in store for me in life as well as musically in the future!

- Drum wise I have recorded some tracks for a new project that I have with my good mate Scott Fairfax of MEMORIAM. Old school Death Metal that reeks of strange passages and armageddon. The project will be presented more officially when the time is right.

- I also participated in the project SAINTS & SINNERS late last year, a project started by guitar player Sebastian Ramstedt of NECROPHOBIC (ex NIFELHEIM.)  Other musicians that also joined includes basist Tobias Christianson of GRAVE (ex DISMEMBER) and vocalist Erika Wagenius (solo artist known as ERIKA.) We recorded a cover of EUROPE's "Scream Of Anger" that was officially released as a promotional video, New Year 2020. Mainly we did this cover as a tribute to the late Marcel Jacobs who wrote the song together with singer Joey Tempest. We also did a fundraiser for the SUICIDE ZERO organization at the same time.
It certainly was a good start for this new project, and we plan to do more things in the future. But since all of us are busy with other commitments and stuff, it might take some time before you hear from us again.

- The TOXAEMIA album "Where Paths Divide" was released through the Danish label EMANZIPATION PRODUCTIONS in November last year. The reviews has been overwhelming so far and the band started straight away to focus on material for a second album. Personally however, I had to leave the ship. It felt like I wasn't having fun anymore, the energy and eagerness to be part of the gang just wasn't there anymore, so we decided to go separate ways. No hard feelings though, we are still brothers and will always be. I have known Stevo and Pontus for over 30 years now, and brotherhood doesn't go away that easily, believe me.

- EMANZIPATION PRODUCTIONS also released an collection of old NOMINON 7" EP's in December, entitled "Yesterdeath". It was more meant to be a sign of life (death?) from the band, to let people know that we're working on some new material for a brand new album. And even though things are moving SLOOOOOW, we're actually written riffs and sending ideas back and forth every now and then. So hopefully we'll be able to get some shit sorted out someday. It's been 9 years now since "The Cleansing" was released, so it will probably turn out to be a 10-year anniversary before the new one is out?!

- KVAEN, the project run by guitar geek Jacob Björnfot, who released the debut album "The Funeral Pyre" a year ago or so, that I happened to be guesting on drums for two tracks ("Revenge by fire" & "Bestial winter") has since we last talked also been released on LP as well as Cassette. And as far as I know Jacob is now preparing for the recording of album number two, so keep your eyes and ears opened to that, even though it looks like I won't participate this time around.

- Dreadful Fate is actually working on some new stuff. We have at this point probably around 4-6 songs, and we rehearse every now and then, so expect the unexpected. More BATHORY and SODOM worship to come!

- Finally, I plan to record some drum tracks with Pontus Ekwall at STUDIOCAVE pretty soon for a new 7" EP with a Death/Black project from Stockholm (the band's second EP, but my first with them.)  More news to follow on that pretty soon.... As well as info and further news on other upcoming recordings and shit!!

NEWS 2020

April

- Been awhile since we last spoke. Mainly I have just been continuing with this dialysis treatment, in due time I'll get a transplantation going, in due time, I'll keep you posted. I promise!!

- A few weeks ago I recorded the ten drum tracks for the new TOXAEMIA album, yet untitled and yet unsigned (worth to mention.)  The drums were recorded at StudioCave in Fagersta, Sweden, with engineer/owner Pontus Ekwall at helm. It was fifth time working with Pontus and the recording was very smooth and I did record the 10 tracks in less than 5 hours. It's Death Metal we're dealing with here, it's supposed to be ugly.
The guys are right now recording the guitar tracks and since they have families and full time jobs, it won't be done in a week. When it's done it's done, no stress. The cover artwork is now being made by my old friend Cesar Valladares.

- NOMINON has been confirmed for the next edition of JÖNKÖPING METAL FEST in Norrahammar, Sweden, that is set to take place November 6th and 7th. Other bands on the bill includes TYGERS OF PAN TANG, ROTTING CHRIST, MINDLESS SINNER, CRYSTAL EYES among others. It's gonna be sick. More info to follow. The band will continue to work on new material as well, we have already tons of material worthwhile, but we want more, and we want it to be as good as possible before we ever enter any studio. So be patient!

- The KVAEN album "The Funeral Pyre" is out now through BLACK LION RDS. It's simply a masterpiece, written, arranged and performed by guitar hero Jacob Björnfot. Even though I am just performing drums on two tracks on the album, this whole thing meant the world to me. It's not every day you get to work with the best of 'em, you know. My participation on the tracks "Revenge by fire" (opening track) as well as "Bestial Winter" was clearly a do or die thing for me, since it was my first recording after I had started my dialysis treatment 2019.

NEWS 2019

October

- It's kinda weird this thing called life, it's always something going on isn't it?! A couple of weeks I got a call from my old friend Pontus from the old school Death Metal band TOXAEMIA, their drummer Emil had just threw in the towel and they were desperately looking for a session drummer for two shows in less than two weeks time, first at the kick ass festival SCANDINAVIAN DEATHFEST in Stockholm, and then at the Bomber Club in their hometown of Motala. After a brief listen through their setlist I accepted the challenge. So last weekend I performed with the guys at SCANDINAVIAN DEATHFEST and it was just a tremendous adventure. It turned out amazing I must say, considering the very little time I had to learn the ten songs. So now this coming weekend I will be back behind the kit again with TOXAEMIA at Bomber Bar in Motala, Sweden, so feel free to drop by. Oh, I forgot, it' already Sold out!! Well, I'll be damned...

- At the end of August I also recorded the drum tracks on two songs for the forthcoming KVAEN debut album with engineer Pontus Ekwall at the SOUNDCAVE STUDIO. I'm pleased with the performance and I hope everything will turn out great when all the guitars and vocals etc are recorded. Really look forward to its release, it will be a bestial record for sure.

- At the same time I also recorded the drums for a W.A.S.P. cover, that will most likely see the light of day soon. For which band and which actual W.A.S.P. song I recorded is yet to be seen. ;-)

- Also just received a box with the new DREADFUL FATE mini-CD release "Bringer Of Damnation" from the labels I Hate Records/To The Death Rds. That one turned out just amazing, now I can't wait to get the whole thing on vinyl. The official release date for the cassette and the CD format is set for November, and the vinyl will follow in January 2020.

- And yes, I am still on dialysis treatment. It's a bit of a struggle for sure, but it is what it is and I am on the list to get a kidney transplant sooner or later, so wtf, it ain't over yet!
 

June

- Been going through some serious shit since last time. Due to my chronic kidney failure got worse I am now on dialysis treatment since April. Things has shapen up a bit though I must say, so for now I am able to at least have some sort of life.

- The DREADFUL FATE recording back in early March turned out killer and was just mixed the other week. Now we're trying to sort out some live tracks as well, so we can get a kick ass 12" MLP out there sometime during late 2019 or so. Besides this we'll also get together very soon all four of us in Avesta, Sweden, to start working on further new songs for the next album.

- I will, as said before, also participate on the debut album of KVAEN. A very cool project formed by Jakob Björnfot, guitar player extra-ordinarie. This is a statement from the label involved in the release of the debut album, BLACK LION RDS:

Jan - March
--Working on new material with DREADFUL FATE, recording some new stuff in February at StudioCave in Fagersta with engineer/owner Pontus Ekwall (Destroyer 666/In Aeternum etc.) We hope to release this new material on an EP of some sort during the year.

- Same thing with NOMINON, planning for a new album, the band's sixth album actually. More news soon!

NEWS 2018

 

- Sorry freaks for being a  bit silent for some time, but I had to sort some things out in life. Now things has stabilized a bit, so lets get down to business shall we.

- The debut show with DREADFUL FATE at House of Metal Festival, Umeå, Sweden, turned out to be a magic night. The show was bloody intense and response from the crowd were overwhelming in general. We were all stunned and chuffed by all this, and now we can do nothing but look forward even more to the release of the debut album "Vengeance" that we recorded during a couple of days in January at Communichaos Studio with engineer and owner Kenko. The album is set to be out on LP/CD/Cassette during May/June. More live shows might follow. We will also try to sort out a promotional video clip during the springtime as well.

- The THORIUM album "Blasphemy Awakes" will be unleashed through Mighty Music/Target Group in June. A promo video for the track "Maniac" can be seen in the Media-section and another one for the track "Penance" will show up later. We are booked in for a release party show in Copenhagen, Denmark in June, as well as for the classic METAL MAGIC FESTIVAL in Denmark in mid July. Don't miss!! We're also negotiating for a possible European tour later in the year or early 2019.

- The new DESTROYER 666 "Call of the wild" EP is out now through Season of mist Records, on Vinyl as well as Digipack-CD. It turned out fkn glorious so I hope that all you true Metalheads will bang your heads and worship the guys on tour now (in the US with WATAIN as we speak), even though I'm not around anymore.

- Finally, I'll guest on a few tracks on the upcoming KVAEN recording. A Black Metal band from the very North of Sweden. The tracks I've heard so far sounds more than promising and I really look forward to put my personal touch on this evil muzak.

News 2017

July - September

- The more things change... A lot of stuff has happened since I last updated this site earlier in the summer. First and foremost, I have quit DESTROYER 666.
I decided that it was time for me to step down due to health issues, which made it more complicated and almost impossible to go on longer tours at this point.
I had a good seven years with the band and we traveled the world and it has been such an honor for me to part of such a powerhouse. The last thing I did with them was to record the drum tracks on September the 2nd at STUDIO CAVE in Fagersta, Sweden (with engineer/owner Pontus "Kong" Ekwall) for an upcoming EP that is set to be released during springtime 2018. I wish the other guys in the band DESTROYER 666 nothing but the best for the future, even though my work with them is done.

- The debut cassette with DREADFUL FATE, entitled "The Sin Of Sodom", was released through IRON FIST PRODUCTIONS in early August. Pure hatred delivered by a bunch of underground mates from beyond the grave. Only for proper fans of SODOM, SADUS, MERCILESS (old), KREATOR, SLAYER and DESTRUCTION. - During the two days of September 13th and 14th I also recorded the drum tracks for the new album "The Blasphemy Awakes" for the Danish band THORIUM at GainFactory Studio, Copenhagen, Denmark with Jakob Gundel behind the desk. The band includes my old OLD mates Kraen Meier (THE PETULANT, ATOMKRAFT (live), ARTILLERY (live),  ex SACRIFICIAL) and Michael H Andersen (ex WITHERING SURFACE), as well as JP (ex DOMINUS) and bassist KB Larsen (VOLBEAT, ex WITHERING SURFACE). The music performed can be described as Death Metal, yet with lots of hooks and variations. This, the band's 4th album, will be out early next year.

June

- The debut EP recording "The Sin Of Sodom" with the "Secret" band DREADFUL FATE is done. Three songs that will be released upon mankind during the
summer/late summer through IRON FIST PRODUCTIONS. I will also be having some copies for sale, check the Merchandise-section every now and then,
to make sure not to miss out on the most aggressive EP of the year.

- I've just received most of the demo tracks for the new THORIUM. I certainly look forward to sink my teeth into the arrangements and put my personal
touch to the songs. The band rehearsals and recording will start 9/11 in Copenhagen. This one will be deadly.

April - May

- Thanks Jim Tobin & Metall Insula Promotions for bringing DESTROYER 666 to Malta. It was cool playing some true Metal to all you fuckers!
The song writing process for the next DESTROYER 666 release is certainly moving on. We've got 3 new songs, and some of them got that old school Speed Metal feeling that we all have missed in the modern day so-called "Metal".
Next Destroyer show will take place at Throne Fest in Belgium in early June, who this year got a rather splendid line-up with bands such as
Marduk and Absu among others!

- The line-up for the new "Secret" band that I am playing drums for is now sorted and solid as Hell. Pre-production demos will be recorded during June. You have been warned!

- I've also been invited to perform drums on the upcoming THORIUM album.
THORIUM is a Danish band that was established already back around the millennium. The band just recently asked me if I was interested to participate on their upcoming fourth album, which is set to be recorded in September, and my answer  was simply "Yes!". I've known some of the guys involved in this band for over 25 years, like Michael H. Andersen and Kraen Meier. I really look forward to go back to play some extreme and Deicide/Morbid Angel/Malevolent Creation-smelling Death Metal again. Catch me if you can!

Feb - March
 

- Things are slowly starting to move forward even during this new year called 2017. Just teamed up with Warslut KK to work on some new DESTROYER 666 material in Uppsala, Sweden. We managed to get one new song together, demoed and all. Back to the true roots of Heavy fkn Metal. Some of you might find this new track offending (I hope), since it's very old school in a way and visiting areas where the band hasn't previously been before.

-The planned 2 shows in Finland in April with DESTROYER 666 has been cancelled by the promoter, no further explanations needed of this disappointment. We will be back soon enough Finland, mark my word!

- I am also involved in a brand new project including people of the Swedish Metal Underground that I have personally known for almost 30 years now.
We are forming this new project together to show you fuckers how it's done. The whole thing is a bit of a secret, this far, but the debut album is set to be recorded in later in the summer of 2017, pre-production demos will be sorted out during June.  The rehearsals has already started and so far we are having nothing but fun.

-Thanks heaps also to the headbangers who showed up and supported IN AETERNUM on our three date march through Wermelskirchen, Deinze and Rotterdam in early February. It was a pleasure to play in front of you all. Cheers also to Rob and LUCIFERICON for putting this little trip together, and Hell-o to VENEFIXION as well, you cunts sounds promising in this other pretty dull scene.

-I have added another column called Heroes, where you can find out a few of the legends of Rock/Metal and various artists that I value and appreciate as a person.

-The Merch-section has been updated with the IN AETERNUM 10" Mini-album. Go grab your own copy before it's too late.
